Truth is absolute, there is no compromise. It is a form of strength-incarnate for it does not yield. But the search for truth is fluid, subjective, and personal. Our paths to it are unique. Every man starts from a different place, and thus we all see the final end with different eyes. Each way forward is fraught with missteps and detours through the darkness, but sometimes without light the blind can be more capable than those with sight.
If we are to create anything then we must first create something. We each must cast our own anchor to hold steadfast against the storms and incessant churning of Odysseus' wine dark sea. It is commitment in the fullest sense. However, first we must hold our own, then once we have found our center can we begin with motion. Like the archer with an arrow, he is only lethal when he hits his mark; hold, aim, release. The arrow flies last.
Yet the picture is incomplete, objective truth and strength both are hollow without the interrelations of subjectivity and elegance. Power is expressed with both strength and softness, gritty determination united with flexibility and finesse. Unions of opposites are what create meaning: theses, anti-theses, and syntheses. Each time we move a step closer to new eyes.
This is no ordinary vineyard, but this is also no ordinary journey. This is an exploration of the human spirit, the core of who we are. The vines, and ultimately the wines themselves are intermediaries to our essence. They are nothing and they are everything. Our examination will be that of metaphor and how the vine is innately intertwined in the lives of those who embrace it. It is the examination of who we are and who we can be.
So, make your choice. Vice over virtue, life over death, now over never. The future awaits those who stake their claim. If we are
lucky, one day the blind will see.
